Position Overview
APEX is currently accepting applications for a Parts Finisher to join our Aerospace Component Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time position reporting to the Sheetmetal & Deburring Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to perform all finishing work required on aerospace products.  Some weekend work and/or overtime may be required. 

Responsibilities
  • Reading and understanding part finishing requirements from travelers and drawings.
  • Maintaining work area organization and cleanliness.
  • Performing a general part finishing operation (break edges, chamfer).
  • Performing hand-finishing functions (polishing, surfacing, grinding) on small or large machine and sheet metal parts.
  • Operating manual & electrical tools (tapping, drill press, pemserter, bench grinder).
  • Performing, cleaning, labeling and packaging of parts.

Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude (capacity for learning).
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
  • Strong teamwork values.
